Rob is the BDM for Skyfuel, having lengthy experience supplying fuel to all industries within GA, specialising in supporting emergency services support. He began his career in industry as a refueller, before forming Skyfuel in 1995. He is a key figure within the General Aviation industry, building the business to support not only GA but also providing multifaceted services to the aviation industry.
Business Development Manager – Ben Morgan
For the past decade, Ben has been the Chief Executive of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Australia (AOPA). In addition to this role Ben acted as an aviation consultant providing services to local, state and federal governments, industry regulators and departments, airport owners and operators, industry peak bodies and associations, aviation businesses, private aircraft owners and pilots alike. Ben joined the Skyfuel team in 2024, bringing with him extensive experience on airport leasing, right of access and airport safety.
Commercial Manager – Jess Spivak
Jess began her career with Shell over 13 years ago. Jess is a results focused customer specialist with extensive experience within the Sales, Support and Customer Solutions supporting Aviation, Marine, Lubricants, Fuel Card, mining and Transport businesses including IT transformation projects and Transport Sales. In her time as Enterprise Account Manager for 5+ years, Jess has supported highly strategic rail industry and on road transport customers. Jess has been with the Skyfuel Team since 2023.
Operations Manager – Andrew Salathe
With 24 years experience in the Oil industry and 18 Years within Aviation across Shell and Viva Energy, encompassing Audit and Compliance, Major projects and Maintenance rolls covering 55 Locations and 180 Vehicles. A driven professional with substantial expertise across the industry, with a focus on Safety, compliance and operational excellence. Andrew has been with the Skyfuel Team since 2023.
Maintenance Lead – Declan Lloyd
Declan possesses a unique blend of skills and experience, garnered from various roles within the aviation industry since 2017. His diverse background encompasses flight operations as a pilot, crewman, and ground support roles, including tanker driving and refuelling. Additionally, Declan’s mechanical aptitude and background bring a valuable perspective to his work. With his multifaceted expertise, Declan provides a comprehensive understanding of aviation operations, safety, and logistics.
Compliance Maintenance and Project Manager – James Edwards
James came from a 17 year background in Transport and Distribution before moving into the Aviation Sector. Has spent the last 12.5 years working for a Maintenance Contractor that carried out servicing for all the major Oil Companies of everything Aviation Refuelling. From Small Aerodromes to Major Airports and everything in between, he was responsible for Maintenance, Compliance and Project Upgrades / Installations at over 200 locations throughout all of Australia. Through this, has gained extensive knowledge and expertise with Fuel Installations and Refuelling Vehicles. An experienced professional with a heavy focus on safely delivering a high quality result every time. James began with Skyfuel in 2025.
